The most significant of these hats currently include being a follower of Jesus, a wife, a mom, a friend, a business owner with a hand in two companies. And like many of you, those hats get interchanged on a daily or even moment by moment basis depending on the task at hand.
One of my truths is that I bring all of who I am to wherever I am.
I say that because living what I’ll call an integrated life matters a lot to me.
Wherever you encounter me, whether in a business context, in my home, or in the faith community, I want your experience to be consistent. To make sense. To not cause confusion.
My faith journey. My experiences as an entrepreneur and business leader. My marriage. My parenting. My friendships. For me everything interconnects, and I want to have the freedom to explore it all.
As it turns out, I have moments of joy and despair, clarity and confusion, peace and anxiety etc. across all of those areas. Often on the same day!
Moments with Kathryn is just about that. Notes about what I’m learning in this journey of life written only if I think it might be helpful to someone else. What I’m wrestling with. What I am excited about.
I want you to know up front that I really like my life. I have a lot to be grateful for.
I’m told it is somewhat unique, as I run a business in partnership with my husband, and absolutely love it. We have a 26 year old marriage, a 23 year old daughter and a 17 year old business. We are also partnering in a second business that feels like it just learned to walk last year and is now attempting a full out sprint, but that’s another story.
I have a Masters of Divinity in New Testament Theology so it logically follows that I own a marketing and business consulting firm (our 17 year old) and also am a partner in a company that sells hay to rabbit owners (our young sprinter). Yep, all are true.
Regular stuff life throws at me. The less than exciting parts of life that make up most of our moments.
In these writings you’ll learn about many or all of these areas of my life with perhaps less sequence and order than you might want.
That’s okay. Unsubscribe buttons exist for a reason!
